After getting the basic plan up and running, we needed to prioritise people's tasks. Darragh would focus on getting the art team working on assets, creating basic assets and the general art direction for the game. Dennis would create some basic UI, something easy to read and use. Erik is creating a basic playtest feedback sheet, as we want to test it ASAP. And I would create the prototype to get the basic core mechanic tested, which is setting up stand's and running them.
I created a GitHub to host the game files.
I created an Itch.io page to host the Playtests
Finally, I created a little prototype, using Dennis' UI, the point is to see if the mechanic brings satisfaction to people, which according to my one playtest so far, is
"I don't understand what is happening, but I want to keep clicking"
perfect!
Other than that, we have to do some assignment stuff, which is running behind due to holidays and an issue with another group, so instead of our assignments working with the project, its going to be delaying us as its now behind where we should be.
Dargah and I will do a presentation on the 8th of march I started working on my side of it and came up with the following slides:
Darragh will add the art to this, to make it pop and more entertaining to watch.
For now, though, I'll be sending Sarah a link to this page, and on Monday (4th march) I'll post the first Full Devlog, where I compile everyone's tasks from the Trello and post them in a sort of update format, expanding on key points as we go.
