Week five was all unity
I made the unity project for Faites Vos Oeufs, the game itself took 2 days to complete, but there were still bugs and a bigger challenge, The AI in the game had to be played like humans but really quickly, this meant I had to make sure that each player could be given a personality, I started off with a random personality, where the player would choose their output at random, relatively easy, then I decided to add the social personality, aka how much the player liked interacting with other players, this took a good day to implement as I hit many roadblocks, but the next day I had point based and objective based players in the game, and you could mix personalities if we wanted to test this. this allowed us to test for the 4 player types The Socializer, the killer, the achiever, and the explorer. after 4 days of development, we got our first results, which show us that the achiever and the explorer are overpowered, aka the objective player and the random player respectfully. this was a bit of a shock as the random player wasn't collecting many points, in theory, something was clearly wrong but we don't know what yet.
this week I met with the last members of the team, other than this and having my head in unity, nothing else was done, the ESCAPE stayed on the ice as Faites Vos Oeufs got some attention. that said Corinne one of our graphic designers made some concept art for the Faites Vos Oeufs box, which we looked at and commented on so that we could pick an art direction for the game, we also contacted an illustrator to make some proper art instead of the mood board by Corinne.
Finally our other Graphic designer Andrea made the instruction booklets for the two games I translated, they were printed and sent to potential clients by Igor.
