"Bioviva Foundation aims at educating children around the world who are in a situation of exclusion, through fun and educational tools, fostering self-respect, respect for others and respect for life with all its diversity. "
Bioviva Editions is a French, educational, and eco-friendly board game company that aims to bring fun and interactive games to the world, teaching players about our world and how important it is!
I was an Intern at Bioviva Editions as a Game Designer, I worked on two projects that were released in 2024, one in April and the other in September.
Although I am doing an internship, I have a lot of independence as a Game Designer, including full creative liberty on one of my projects, ESCAPE: Aventures Polaires, which we will release in April.
and for my second project, Faites Vos Oeufs. I have a lot of influence over the balancing and quality of the game and its mechanics, but its core mechanic and gameplay loop were already decided before I joined the team.
My Internship spans from August 29th 2023 to January 20th 2024
As a Game designer I'm part of the DEV Team AKA "Pôle Dev" which consist of:
Michaël : Directeur du développement et de la production
Igor : Chargé de projet développement / game design
Raphaël : Chargé de projet développement enfance et environnement
Honorine : Chargée de projet / rédactrice
Adeline : Chargée de projets / rédactrice
Corinne : Infographiste
Andrea : Infographiste
Margaux : Infographiste
Emeline : Responsable de projets Gamme éducative
Igor is in charge of the game design, and therefore my Internship Handler in Bioviva. We work together on projects.
Every week we have a team meeting where we keep each other up to date with our current projects.
We work together on various projects and work as a team to accomplish our deadlines and projects.
Working 9:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.
*Forgive me for the lack of detail on some of the early devlogs, I was only informed 7 weeks into my internship that I would have to write a weekly report, so I did not keep track of the things I had to do early on.For my college overlords, here is a screenshot of an email from Igor confirming he has read the weekly logs:
