today I sent an invitation to the whole Bioviva team:
Bonjour à tous !
J'espère que tout le monde va bien et a passé un bon week-end !
Cette semaine est malheureusement ma dernière semaine chez bioviva :(
Je tiens à remercier tout le monde pour leur gentillesse et leur réceptivité, je n'aurais pas pu rêver d'un meilleur stage.
J'aimerais vous inviter tous au Fitgerald Pub ce jeudi à partir de 18 heures pour boire une pinte (ou plus) et parle ensemble!
Merci à tous
Jamie Clarke
Hilarious cause its called the Fitzpatricks Pub, so another mistake to add to my list!
I continued translating the cards, realisizing that I wont be able to get the instruction booklet done by the end of the week, i decided to hand that work over back to Igor, who will get our translation company to translate that for us.
I helped Andrea with some info on the graphics on the booklet, which was a bit sad seeing as this is the last day I will see her seeing as she is working from home for the rest of the week, it's gonna be hard saying bye to everyone :(
This morning we went back to the local Écolothèque, which was super cool as I got to go with Igor, Honorine, Romain and Mike. I wrote down another playtest session page in order to sort through the notes and pass it onto Igor:
I got to see how Igor presented FOV to the kids and how he explained it in a manner that the kids understood. he was patient with their questions, and although in my eyes he influenced them and interacted with them too much, it was still really cool to see the methods that he used. In the end, I realise that being as hands-off as possible with the playtest is good in theory, but in practice, especially with kids, Igor's method of showing and interacting while playing allowed the kids to play the game for what it is, and not be confused by lack of information.
Today I'm going to say goodbye to most people as most tend to work from home on Fridays. I'm not looking forward to this.
Work related I'm reviewing the story for my booklet, making sure it conveys the message I want it to convey.
And this morning I set up a meeting with Mike so that I may Present the Cata Proto to him and see if it will go forward to development. I printed the instruction manual and made sure all the elements of my prototype were ready so I could explain them with ease when the meeting began.
I also deleted everything on my work PC to hand it back to Bioviva and backed up all my data to my hard drive for archival purposes, just in case anyone needed any documents from me.
Last DAY!!!!!!!!! and I played all day :)
That's a joke, I tested Igor's booklet, which took hours, but I got it done, and it was cool to see how he used the quadrant and the cards in the booklet, it showed that I still have loads to learn, but I find it cool to see what he did and why!
